A graduate of Cairo University with a degree in Law and a minor in the history of Egyptian Culture & Dance, Nada El Masriya has spent most of her life training, teaching and performing internationally as a professional dancer.
Her professional dance career began at 17, with the prestigious Reda Troupe, Egypt’s first and most famous folkloric dance company.

Angelina Thorne

Yoga/Body Awareness Instructor


Angelina Thorne is a professional bellydancer and yoga teacher based in Kingston, Ontario. She has been teaching movement since 1995, as the youngest certified coach of rhythmic gymnastics recognized in Canada at the time. She has studied various folk & social dances of the Middle East, North Africa, & the Mediterranean since 2002, and has been teaching and performing raqs sharqi (bellydance) professionally since 2006. In 2008, Angelina received her certification as a yoga teacher from Shakti Mhi at Prana Yoga Teacher College, turning her lifelong practice into a full-time teaching schedule from 2008-2018, giving her the experience of teaching literally thousands of classes to students from all walks of life. She currently offers yoga and bellydance classes at Queens University, writes about yoga and bellydance online, and continues to mentor new yoga instructors.
